We Are Rich In WA
According the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), Western Australia is the highest paying state in the country, on average we earn the most out of everyone in the country. This is heavily influenced by the robust mining industry bringing with it competitive salaries and disposable income.
An article by Forbes shows where all the states and capital cities sit relative to each other.
The average salary in Western Australia is the highest in the country.
And the average salary in Perth (we assume this is the Perth metro area) is the second highest in the country, behind Sydney.
It doesn’t make sense that WA has the third cheapest houses in the country according to the latest data from CoreLogic (image credit) but the highest salaries of any state and the second highest salaries of the capital cities.
This is just more support for the idea that Perth is massively undervalue STILL, even though we’ve seen such massive growth the last 18 months. Watch this space for double digit growth in 2024.
